Velakali is a ritual art performed at temples in Kerala during festival time. The performers are dressed up like traditional soldiers with shields and swords/long canes.

  3. It’s a beautiful shot and the long lens you have used compresses the perspective so that the action is distilled and tight. You captured the peak of the moment at the exact right time.

  4. The dominant colours of red, white and gold are very striking. The strong poses of the dancers with the golden shield acting as a bulls eye right in the centre, catches my attention.
