When in Madurai, Jigarthanda from Famous Jigarthanda stall is something that you shouldn’t miss out on. It is a cold beverage that has its origins in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. It is a popular summer drink that contains milk, basundi, sherbeth, almond gum, and is usually topped with a scoop of ice cream. The ‘Special’ Jigarthanda has more khoya (reduced, sweetened milk) than the ordinary one.
