On my trip to Indonesia this month, I got a chance to visit Taman Bacaan Pelangi (Rainbow Reading Gardens) founded by Nila Tanzil . Taman Bacaan Pelangi provides children’s books to remote areas in an effort to nurture early-childhood reading habits. The library I visited was located in a school in the beautiful Melo Village in Flores, Indonesia. It is one of the 29 libraries in Eastern Indonesia. We all had a wonderful time singing, dancing and interacting with the kids. I thought that the kids might get scared once they saw me, owing to my beard. Surprisingly enough, they were all laughing and curious and wanted to touch my beard! The little time we spent there was a lovely and heart-warming experience.

Thankful to Wonderful Indonesia and the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism for a great opportunity to see Indonesia.
Superb shot.

Such a beautiful shot, Joshi. Love how the focus is on the little girl’s head yet you can see that she is so focused on reading. Reading educates us, enriches the mind and I’m sure she loved reading that book. Wonderful that the children like your beard. So accepting :)

It’s fascinating how adults are pissed off by bearded men, whereas kids connect to them so easily. Happens all the time with my brother!
Beautiful picture by the way. As always!
