  1. Gorgeous colors, Joshi! And it looks as if this elephant is getting respectful, gentle care — the best any animal can hope for from humans, if it can no longer be in the wild.

  2. I like the way the bend or curve of the humans’ bodies match that of the elephant’s. The man in back is bent over in a way that complements the back end of the elephant and the man in front is leaning in, in harmony with the elephant’s trunk.

  3. Somebody in the comments wrote that this photo is timeless – and that is exactly how I feel about it. There is no way of telling if the shot is 50 years old or a single day. It seems to transcend time. And the colours are superb.

    Excellent photography. I like it a lot, especially because it is one of those images that we cannot see here.
    Fortunately, elephants and other animals have been protected and cannot be displayed in circuses.
