Perfection. When a portrait can make you feel something powerful when you look at the person’s face, especially their eyes, then you know it’s done just right.
It doesn’t just look like a well shot portrait, I feel as though I were sitting there with him. That’s what I want to experience when I see intimate shots of this kind. I get that every time I come to Joshi’s blog.
Many artists capturing old people are interested only in their wrinkles and watery eyes… Appreciate the way you have paid attention to the subtlety of expressions, treating the grand man as a human and not an object of photography. Keep the good work going!
